About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor qualified to provide supervision to therapists in training (LPCC-S) and I am a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor  and approved supervisor (LADC-S). I am charismatic and funny. I want to get to know people and make them feel comfortable before diving into life's difficulties. I have been working in the field of mental health and addiction for the past 22 years. I have worked as an in -home counselor, a school counselor, and a mobile team crisis supervisor. I have worked in hospital and outpatient treatment centers for both adults and adolescents and I have been working in outpatient private practice for the past 10 years. My professional training is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with additional training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I take a realist, solution focused approach to therapy. I believe that life change occurs outside of the session and session time is to learn about oneself or learn new skills to utilize in the world in between sessions. I am married with 2 sons and I enjoy attending my children and spouse's sporting events, gardening, and crocheting in my free time. I love my pets and all animals. Some animals are welcome to join in sessions. Contact me for more details. I am  passionate about helping clients achieve their goals and believe in providing a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings.

  • I have experience in helping clients with depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, low self-esteem, eating issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), professional/career issues, medical and health concerns, pain management, stress management, attention deficit disorder (ADD), sexual abuse, spirituality, gender identity support, LGBTQIA+ counseling, grief, loss, or bereavement, and other mental health issues.
